Benevolence Ministry
A work of the church through our Community Missions Committee that provides groceries, lodging and other assistance to families who are in need.
Thanksgiving Day Ministry
Each year our church prepares and provides lunch on Thanksgiving Day for more than 150 people in our community. People who are alone for one reason or another or who are not physically able to prepare their own meal. We also provide meals to those people who are required to work in public service roles on Thanksgiving Day. We see this as an opportunity to visit, pray with, and encourage those less fortunate in our community, and to express our thanksgiving to God by sharing with others.
Christmas in Action
(Home Repair Project)
Each year, on a designated day in April, our church in cooperation with other community volunteers work with a common vision to repair the homes of disadvantaged persons of Appling County.
50+ Women’s Prayer Circle
(Women 50 and older)
A missions group of ladies that meets on the 1st Tuesday of every month (10:30 AM) for a time of prayer, fellowship, and interesting programs on various topics. They are supporters of the Share-A-Bear Ministry. A ministry that collects and distributes teddy bears and other stuffed animals to be used by various community agencies to give to children in times of crisis.
J.O.Y. Group
(Just Older Youth)
An organization for senior adults that meets the last Thursday of every month (6:30 PM). There are also other opportunities for fellowship, outreach, opportunities for service, and various trips of interest.
Julia Jarman Circle
A missions group of senior adult ladies that meet on the 3rd Monday of every month (12:00 PM) for a covered dish luncheon, time of prayer and fellowship, and a program or guest speaker on missions.
Radio Ministry
Our Radio Ministry Team works in conjunction with WBYZ RADIO FM 94.5 here in Baxley so our 11:00 AM services can be heard over the radio. If you are traveling within a 100 mile radius, or know someone who is homebound that would be encouraged by hearing our time of worship, tune us in. Our Radio Ministry Team also provides acoustical / sound support for all church functions including choir performances, weddings, etc.
